Consulting

Geospatial and remote sensing consulting services.

GL Spatial logo

I consult through GL Spatial, my remote sensing and geospatial practice, founded in 2021. I help clients turn disparate datasets into reliable answers.

I’ve worked with clients to detect and map objects with deep learning, test whether a new sensor or data product suits a use case, and build automated workflows that a client’s team can run themselves. Past GL Spatial work includes detecting thermal anomalies over geothermal areas, detecting electrical substations, classifying crops, mapping fire burn scars, mapping tree species distribution, detecting oil spills, and classifying roof materials.

Engagements can be short proof-of-concept analyses or longer-term projects. Every engagement includes well-documented code, sample datasets and a walkthrough of the results. Just as important is the expertise behind them: advice on which data and methods suit your problem, and guidance on how to interpret and act on the results. For independent assessments, such as checking a vendor’s dataset against your use case, I act as a neutral third party.
